The primary focus of the project is to enhance the capacity and efficiency of the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) in Lahore and Faisalabad. These improvements are expected to significantly benefit urban populations facing challenges related to clean water access and sanitation infrastructure.

In addition to infrastructure upgrades, the grant will support the Housing Department in establishing a more effective and transparent regulatory framework. The move is seen as a step forward in aligning urban development with sustainable practices and international standards.
