Karachi Rain Brings Relief as Monsoon Spell Begins

Karachi witnessed moderate to heavy rain on Saturday night, bringing relief to residents amid rising temperatures. The rainfall affected several parts of the city, including Landhi, Korangi, Malir, and Quaidabad. Other areas such as Shah Faisal Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Manghopir, Site Area, and Qayyumabad also experienced showers.

In some neighborhoods like Akhtar Colony and Qayyumabad, the rain was accompanied by strong winds. Areas including Surjani Town, Nazimabad, and North Karachi were also among those that received rainfall.

In addition to Karachi rain, parts of Sindh such as Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Tharparkar, and Mirpur Khas are also expected to receive moderate to heavy showers. Cities like Ghotki, Larkana, and Jacobabad could face intense rain leading to urban flooding.

Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir may see moderate to heavy rainfall in the coming days, increasing the chances of landslides and blocked roads.

Residents of Karachi are advised to stay cautious, especially in low-lying areas. Authorities have warned that further Karachi rain may cause traffic jams, waterlogging, and damage to weak structures.
