Eyewitnesses said the robbers fled the scene within seconds. The whole incident took less than three minutes. The attackers took away a bag believed to contain gold ornaments.

Victim Identified

The jeweller killed in the daylight heist was identified as Muhammad Imran, a 45-year-old father of three. He had been running the jewelry shop for over 15 years and was well respected in the community.

The injured woman, 32-year-old Shazia Bibi, was rushed to the nearby hospital. Doctors confirmed that she is in stable condition but under observation.

Police Investigation Underway

Local police have launched a full investigation into the incident. CCTV footage from nearby shops is being reviewed. The police believe the suspects had been watching the shop for days and targeted the victim during a vulnerable time.

A senior police officer stated, “This was a planned crime. We are using all available resources to track down the culprits.”

Sniffer dogs were brought to the scene, and forensic teams collected evidence from the shop’s entrance and surrounding area.

Community in Fear

The tragic event has left local residents shocked and angry. Business owners in the area say they now feel unsafe. Many are demanding better security and more police patrols in commercial zones.

“This is not the first time a jeweller has been targeted,” said a nearby shopkeeper. “But this time, the jeweller was killed, and a woman injured in a daylight heist. It’s terrifying.”

Local trade associations are planning a protest to push for better safety measures and quicker police action.

Past Incidents Raise Alarms

This is not an isolated case. In recent months, similar robberies have taken place in various parts of the city. Experts believe that rising crime is linked to poor law enforcement and lack of street surveillance.

Security analyst Ali Raza commented, “Such daylight attacks show how bold criminals have become. Without better surveillance, more lives will be at risk.”

Authorities Urged to Act

Citizens and business leaders are urging the government to take swift action. They want more police presence, especially during business hours, and stricter punishment for such crimes.

For now, the community mourns the loss of Muhammad Imran, the jeweller killed in daylight heist violence that could have been prevented.
