The Punjab Government has announced the CM Honhaar Scholarship 2025 to support bright students from financially challenged households. The initiative aims to help deserving students pursue higher education without financial burdens.
The Honhaar Scholarship covers 100% tuition fees at public sector universities and colleges across Pakistan. It is open to students from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Both new admissions and current students in various semesters are eligible.
The program, managed by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), supports studies in engineering, medical sciences, IT, and social sciences. By reducing financial barriers, it encourages academic excellence and empowers talented youth.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Domicile: Primarily Punjab, but students from other provinces can apply in selected institutions.
- Family Income: Monthly household income must be below Rs. 300,000.
- Academic Merit: Minimum 60% marks in exams or required CGPA.
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a public sector university or college. MBBS/BDS students from 2nd to 5th year and other disciplines from 3rd to 8th semester are eligible.
- No Other Scholarship: Applicants must not already receive other merit- or need-based scholarships.
- Financial Need Affidavit: Signed affidavit proving financial need is mandatory.
Students benefiting from BISP Taleemi Wazaif can also apply for the Honhaar Scholarship.
How to Apply:
- Visit the official portal: honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk
- Register with CNIC, email, and mobile number.
- Complete the application form and upload required documents, including CNIC, matric/intermediate results, university admission letter, domicile certificate, and income affidavit.
- Review and submit the application before the 15th September 2025 deadline.
Scholarship Distribution:
- Phase 1: 30,000 scholarships for newly enrolled students.
- Phase 2: 20,000 scholarships for MBBS/BDS students.
- Phase 3: 5,000 scholarships for students from other provinces.
The total fund for the Honhaar Scholarship is Rs. 5,868.05 million, ensuring smooth distribution of merit-based financial aid to thousands of students.
By launching the CM Honhaar Scholarship 2025, the Punjab Government is taking a major step in promoting higher education and supporting talented youth from all regions of Pakistan.
