ISLAMABAD – The sale of motorbikes and three-wheelers in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase of 44.06 percent during the first two months of the current financial year 2025-26, compared with the same period last year.

According to data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), 272,601 units of motorbikes and three-wheelers were sold in July-August 2025, up from 189,227 units sold during July-August 2024.

Honda continued to dominate the market, with its motorcycle sales rising by 43.77 percent from 160,738 units to 231,108 units. Suzuki motorbikes also showed strong growth, with sales jumping 44.43 percent to 5,126 units compared to 3,549 units a year earlier.

United Auto recorded impressive performance, with its motorcycle sales climbing 56.24 percent, reaching 26,013 units. Yamaha sales also grew significantly by 87.75 percent, from 645 units to 1,211 units, while Road Prince motorbikes rose from 2,649 units to 3,504 units.

The three-wheeler segment also reported steady growth. United Auto three-wheelers increased from 161 units to 284 units, while Qingqi three-wheelers rose by 15.04 percent to 1,491 units. Sazgar also posted growth of 6.58 percent, selling 3,482 units compared to 3,267 units in the same period last year. Road Prince three-wheeler sales climbed to 382 units from 273 units.

Industry experts noted that rising sales of motorbikes reflect recovering consumer demand and affordability compared to cars. With motorbikes being a primary mode of transport for many households, the upward trend suggests improved purchasing power and strong brand loyalty across major manufacturers.
