Pakistanβs security forces have intensified operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating dozens of terrorists in a series of engagements. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), these actions took place between September 10 and 13 and targeted militants linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The ISPR confirmed that 35 terrorists were killed during operations in Bajaur and South Waziristan. In Bajaur, security forces launched a mission after receiving intelligence about militant activity. An intense exchange of fire followed, leading to the elimination of 22 terrorists. In South Waziristan, 13 more were killed, with weapons and ammunition recovered from the scene.
During these operations, 12 Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom while fighting the heavily armed militants. The militaryβs media wing also highlighted the role of Afghan nationals in the recent wave of terrorist activities. Sanitisation efforts are underway to clear the affected regions of any remaining threats.
Earlier, on September 9 and 10, security forces conducted three separate intelligence-based operations in Mohmand, North Waziristan, and Bannu. In these encounters, 19 terrorists were neutralized, including 14 in Mohmand alone. Weapons and ammunition were also seized during the raids.
The ISPR described the killed militants as Indian-backed elements actively engaged in terrorism across the province. Officials stressed that Pakistanβs forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace in the region.
The military reiterated that operations against terrorists will continue until the threat is fully eliminated. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to counter any potential attacks.
