Sister Wives star Meri Brown has spoken candidly about her former husband Kody Brown and the way his parenting has changed.
In a new episode of the I Do, Part 2 podcast, the 54-year-old reality star looked back on her years with Kody. She admitted that his approach to raising children was stronger in the past compared to now.
“I think he did better in his younger years than he does now,” Meri said. “Parenting is a big one. The way that he parents breaks my heart.”
Kody Brown is father to 18 children with his four wives. Over recent years, reports of distance between him and several of his kids have surfaced. Meri suggested that some of those strained ties remain unresolved.
“He’s got children who need him and want a relationship with him,” she explained. “I don’t see effort being put in where some of his kids really need it.”
Meri Brown and Kody officially ended their marriage in January 2023. The couple shares one child together, Leon Brown. Despite their separation, Meri continues to share her perspective on family matters.
