Audi’s Pakistan Partner Faces Legal Scrutiny Over Warranty and Customer Complaints

LAHORE – Audi continues to be one of the most recognized luxury car brands in Pakistan, known for its performance, advanced technology, and comfort. For many buyers, owning an Audi is seen as a symbol of status. However, the brand is now facing a major legal challenge in the country, leaving customers uncertain about their rights and warranties.

The dispute began with a single complaint that has since escalated into a full legal battle between Premier Systems (Pvt.) Ltd., the official distributor of Audi in Pakistan, and Audi AG, the German automaker.

What started as a dealership disagreement has grown into lawsuits, defamation claims, and intervention from Customs Pakistan, which has suspended Premier’s authority to set import trade prices.

Premier Systems has defended its role, stating that it fulfilled every obligation as the local distributor, while blaming Audi AG for warranty and after-sales responsibilities. Customers, however, have voiced concerns, accusing the local partner of misrepresentation, denial of support, and lack of transparency.

The legal tussle has left many Audi buyers in limbo. With warranties and service commitments now under question, trust in both the distributor and the global brand has taken a hit. Analysts say the uncertainty could affect customer confidence in Pakistan’s luxury car market, where after-sales service plays a key role in brand loyalty.

In a significant move, a Lahore court has also included Audi AG as a necessary party in the civil case, forcing the German company to respond. Experts believe the outcome will set an important precedent for accountability in Pakistan’s high-end auto sector.

As the case develops, questions remain about the future of Audi in Pakistan, the validity of warranties, and the reliability of dealer support. For now, customers await clarity as the legal battle continues.
