Punjab Sets New Record with 103% Eid Cleanliness and Security Target Achievement

The Punjab government has delivered a strong performance during Eid-ul-Adha operations. Punjab Sets a new benchmark by achieving 103 percent of its cleanliness and security targets on the first day of Eid.

The success was recorded under the โ€œSuthra Punjabโ€ program. It was carried out in coordination with the Punjab Safe Cities Authority. The large-scale operation focused on sanitation and public safety across the province.

Officials said Punjab Sets high standards through real-time monitoring and rapid response systems. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif supervised the entire operation digitally throughout the day.

All commissioners, deputy commissioners, and assistant commissioners remained active in the field. Despite extreme heat, teams continued work across cities and towns.

Safe City cameras and drone surveillance played a key role. They monitored Eid congregations, sacrificial sites, and crowded public areas. This helped ensure both cleanliness and security.

Special cleaning operations began on Chand Raat. Teams cleaned mosques, Eidgahs, major roads, and public spaces. Rose water was also used at places of worship to improve atmosphere and hygiene.

Officials said Punjab Sets an example in waste management efficiency this year. Drone cameras helped identify animal waste in narrow streets and markets. Sanitation teams quickly removed waste and transported it to disposal sites.

According to government data, more than 120,000 tons of waste were collected on the first day of Eid-ul-Adha. The Suthra Punjab teams covered over 1.881 million square kilometers across the province.

Authorities also completed cleaning of more than 1,000 kilometers of roads. In addition, over 1,200 sacrificial sites were fully cleaned after Eid activities.

The Punjab government said Punjab Sets a new standard in combining technology with public service delivery. The use of Safe City systems and drones improved efficiency and response time.

Citizens across the province appreciated the arrangements. Many praised the cleanliness efforts and security management during the festive days.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and her team received positive feedback for their coordinated approach. The successful operation is being seen as a model for future large-scale public service campaigns.
