Pakistan, UAE’s Deputy Minister Discuss Strengthening Governance Ties

Bilal Azhar Kayani, Pakistan’s Minister of State for Finance and Railways, met with UAE’s deputy minister Abdulla Nasser Lootah in Dubai. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration under the Mutual Government Experience Exchange MoU signed in June 2025.

During the discussion, Kayani expressed appreciation to UAE’s government for its continued support and cooperation. He highlighted the importance of sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance governance and service delivery in Pakistan.

Both sides reviewed previous knowledge exchange sessions, conducted in-person in the UAE and virtually. They assessed the progress achieved and explored ways to further deepen collaboration across multiple government sectors.

UAE’s deputy minister emphasized the importance of continued engagement and shared experiences to improve institutional efficiency. He noted that the partnership has already contributed to modernizing governance frameworks and enhancing public service delivery.

Kayani and UAE’s deputy minister reaffirmed their commitment to institutional reforms and agreed to maintain close coordination. They also discussed implementing the MoU effectively, ensuring timely follow-ups and measurable outcomes.

The meeting signals Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to learn from international partners and strengthen institutional capacity.
