Air Sial has officially applied for permission to start direct flight operations to the United Kingdom. According to reports, the airline plans to operate routes connecting Pakistan with London, Manchester, and Birmingham.
The move comes shortly after UK authorities lifted a five-year suspension on Pakistani airlines, allowing them to resume services to British destinations. The decision marks a significant step toward rebuilding international confidence in Pakistan’s aviation industry.
Before Air Sial’s application, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Airblue had already received clearance to restart their UK operations. PIA is set to relaunch its services on October 25, beginning with two weekly flights between Islamabad and Manchester. This will be the national carrier’s first flight on the route in nearly four years.
Aviation experts view Air Sial’s plan as a positive sign of growth and competition in Pakistan’s airline sector. The addition of another carrier to UK routes could increase travel options for passengers and help stabilize ticket prices.
