Gold Price in Pakistan Hits Record High After Massive Rs14,100 Single-Day Surge

The gold price in Pakistan has reached an all-time high, marking the biggest single-day increase ever recorded for 24-karat gold. The surge has stunned both investors and jewellers as global and local markets continue to react to economic uncertainty.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the gold price for 24-karat gold per tola rose by an unprecedented Rs14,100, bringing the new rate to Rs456,900 in the local market. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold jumped to Rs391,718, showing an increase of Rs12,089.

Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were priced at Rs359,087, up by Rs11,082 compared to the previous day. Market observers noted that this sharp rise in the gold price was primarily driven by global trends and the fluctuating value of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.

In the international market, gold prices also soared significantly, gaining $141 to reach $4,358 per ounce. Analysts attributed this global rally to increasing economic uncertainty, currency volatility, and growing demand for safe-haven assets such as gold.

Experts explained that as the US dollar continues to strengthen and interest rate expectations shift, investors are moving their capital into precious metals, particularly gold, to protect their wealth.

Silver prices in Pakistan have also followed the same upward trajectory. The rate for 24-karat silver per tola rose by Rs167, reaching Rs5,504, while 10 grams of silver were sold for Rs4,718.

This latest development underscores the volatility of precious metal markets and signals that both gold and silver may continue to experience upward momentum in the coming weeks if economic instability persists.
