Actor Isabelle Tate, best known for her role in ABC’s “9-1-1: Nashville,” has passed away at the age of 23. Her death was confirmed on Sunday by her representatives at the McCray Agency in Nashville.
According to her family, Isabelle Tate had been battling a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a genetic neurological condition that weakens the nerves responsible for controlling muscles.
Tate gained attention for her performance as Julie in the pilot episode of the Ryan Murphy-created series “9-1-1: Nashville,” which premiered on October 9, 2025. Her role in the show marked her first major step into acting.
The McCray Agency shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing deep sorrow over her passing. “We are deeply saddened and completely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19th,” the agency wrote. “She had recently returned to acting and landed her first major role in ‘9-1-1: Nashville.’ She was full of joy and excitement during filming.”
Tate filmed her scenes in June, and her episode aired on October 6. The show, which follows emergency responders in Tennessee, features stars like Chris O’Donnell, LeAnn Rimes, Michael Provost, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Juani Feliz.
Born and raised in Nashville, Isabelle Tate graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in business. Outside of acting, she loved visiting animal shelters and enjoyed writing and recording music with her friends.
Tate is survived by her mother Katerina Kazakos Tate, stepfather Vishnu Jayamohan, father John Daniel Tate, and sister Daniella Tate. Her funeral service will be held in Brentwood, Tennessee, on October 24.
