A British-Pakistani father and his son from Islamabad have tragically died in a drowning incident while on vacation in Malta.
According to local reports, Raja Qadus Banaras was spending the day at the beach with his family when a strong wave suddenly swept his young son into the sea. Acting instinctively, Raja Banaras jumped into the water in an attempt to save him.
However, both father and son were overpowered by the strong current and were unable to reach the shore. Despite the immediate efforts of nearby swimmers and local authorities, the pair could not be rescued in time.
Rescue teams launched an urgent search operation shortly after the incident. After several hours, both bodies were recovered from the sea and taken to a nearby hospital.
