Requesting a simplified Saudi visa policy for the IT industry

In an effort to enhance cooperation in the ever-expanding Information Technology sector, Pakistan has urged Saudi Arabia to simplify travel and visa procedures for Pakistani IT companies. Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan met with Dr. Umar Saif, the Caretaker Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, on Thursday. The discussions primarily focused on mutual interests and advancements in IT and Telecommunication.

The meeting emphasized Saudi Arabia’s role in streamlining visa processes for Pakistani IT professionals and business individuals seeking opportunities in the Kingdom. Dr. Umar Saif conveyed Pakistan’s eagerness to strengthen its ties with Saudi Arabia in the IT and Telecom sector, underscoring the significance of facilitating travel and visas for Pakistani IT companies operating in Saudi Arabia. He also highlighted the substantial potential within Pakistan’s IT and Telecom professionals and the favorable investment environment within the country, encouraging Saudi tech companies to explore opportunities in Pakistan.
