Apple has unveiled the new AirPods Pro 3, calling them the most advanced version of its wireless earbuds yet. The launch highlights big improvements in sound quality, active noise cancellation (ANC), comfort, and smart features that go beyond music.
The AirPods Pro 3 use Apple’s H2 chip but come with a redesigned multiport acoustic setup. Inward-facing microphones and improved airflow create deeper bass, a wider soundstage, and clearer vocals. Combined with Bluetooth 5.3, Apple aims to compete with the best audio devices on the market.
Best-in-class ANC
Apple claims the Pro 3 deliver the “world’s best in-ear ANC.” The earbuds feature enhanced microphones, better sealing, and upgraded computational audio. According to Apple, they cancel twice as much noise compared to the previous model.
For passive isolation, Apple has introduced five eartip sizes, including a new XXS option. Each eartip uses soft foam fused with silicone for a more secure fit, ensuring comfort and better sound quality even before ANC kicks in.
Battery life and case updates
The Pro 3 offer up to eight hours of playback with ANC, and 10 hours in Transparency mode. However, the charging case now provides 24 hours instead of 30. Apple explained that since the earbuds last longer on a single charge, users may rely less on the case.
The updated case is lighter, slightly larger, and includes a new U2 chip for more accurate location tracking.
Smarter features for daily use
The new AirPods Pro 3 also introduce features like heart-rate monitoring, upgraded IP57 water resistance, and a built-in camera control button for remote photo and video capture.
A standout addition is live translation. At launch, it supports English, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish. By pinching both stems, users can activate real-time translation or display live transcripts on their iPhone.
With these changes, the AirPods Pro 3 aim to redefine what wireless earbuds can offer, combining premium sound with practical everyday tools.
