ISLAMABAD – The price of Gold in Pakistan dropped on Wednesday, reversing gains made just a day earlier. The decline was reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat Gold per tola fell by Rs2,400. It settled at Rs388,600, down from Tuesday’s record high of Rs391,000. Similarly, the rate of 10 grams of 24-karat Gold decreased by Rs2,058. It now stands at Rs333,161, compared to Rs335,219 a day earlier. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat Gold was recorded at Rs305,408. This marks a reduction of Rs1,887 from the previous day’s Rs307,295.
The global market also witnessed a drop. The price of Gold declined by $24 to $3,668 per ounce, compared to $3,692 on Tuesday.
Silver prices followed the same downward trend. In the local market, the price of 24-karat silver per tola fell by Rs109. It closed at Rs4,387, down from Rs4,496 a day earlier. The rate for 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs93, reaching Rs3,761 against Tuesday’s Rs3,854.
On the international front, silver also recorded losses. Prices slipped by $1.09, settling at $41.60 per ounce. This was down from the earlier level of $42.69.
The sudden decline in Gold and silver prices reflects the volatility of precious metals in both domestic and global markets. Traders and investors continue to monitor these fluctuations closely, as they often signal broader economic shifts.
