Gold Rates in Pakistan Fall Rs1,000 Per Tola

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan declined during the latest trading session. The drop came amid weaker rates in the international market.

According to the latest rates issued by the Sarafa Association, gold fell by Rs1,000 per tola. The price reached Rs462,236 per tola.

The previous price of gold stood at Rs463,236 per tola. The latest decline reduced the value further in the local bullion market.

The Gold Rates also showed a decline for 10 grams of the precious metal. The price dropped by Rs857 during the session.

Gold for 10 grams was recorded at Rs396,207. It previously stood at Rs397,064.

The decline followed gains recorded during the previous trading session. The latest movement erased much of those earlier gains.

International Gold Prices

The weakness was also seen in international gold markets. Gold prices fell by $10 per ounce during the latest session.

The international gold rate declined from $4,406 to $4,396 per ounce. The quoted international rate included a $20 premium.

The decline in global prices also affected the domestic bullion market. Local gold prices generally follow movements in international markets.

Market activity remained under pressure as investors monitored developments affecting precious metals. Gold prices can fluctuate due to several global economic factors.

Silver Prices Move Higher

Unlike gold, silver recorded an increase in Pakistan. The price of silver rose by Rs10 per tola.

Silver reached Rs7,069 per tola from the previous rate of Rs7,059. The increase provided a different trend within the local precious metals market.

The contrasting movements reflected continued volatility in bullion prices. Gold moved lower while silver posted a modest gain.
