Gold Prices Increase in Global and Domestic Markets

Gold prices have experienced a significant rise in both global and local markets.

On Wednesday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola in local markets increased by Rs2,200, reaching Rs277,200, while the price per 10 grams climbed by Rs1,886 to Rs237,654.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce rose by $22, hitting $2,675.

Despite the increase in gold prices, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs3,050, with the price per 10 grams stable at Rs2,614.88.

Additionally, the Pakistani rupee has seen a slight decline against major foreign currencies, with the US dollar (USD) selling for Rs278.15 and buying for Rs277.65. The Euro (EUR) was sold at Rs303.02 and bought at Rs302.47, while the British pound (GBP) was priced at Rs363.60 for selling and Rs362.94 for buying.

In the meantime, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) is experiencing an upward trend, with the index surpassing the 86,000-point mark again during intra-day trading.

On the third business day of the week, the PSX showed positive momentum, with a 609-point increase, pushing the KSE-100 index to 86,449 points.
