Gold Prices Surge Again in Pakistan Amid Global Market Gains

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on May 8, influenced by a rise in international bullion markets.

The rate for one tola of gold increased by Rs800, bringing it to Rs356,900, while the cost for 10 grams rose by Rs684, reaching Rs305,984.

This surge follows a sharp jump on Tuesday, when gold prices surged by Rs6,100 per tola, closing at Rs356,100 — an indication of growing demand for the precious metal across the country, particularly in major cities like Karachi and Lahore.

On the global front, gold prices climbed to $3,385 per ounce, marking an $8 increase from the previous session, alongside a $20 premium.

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged, with the rate holding firm at Rs3,482 per tola.
