Gold prices saw a sharp increase today in both international and local markets, with a rise of Rs4,800 per tola in Pakistan.
In the global bullion market, gold per ounce surged by $47, reaching $2,916. This rise directly impacted local rates, with 24-carat gold per tola now priced at Rs306,300. Meanwhile, gold per 10 grams increased by Rs4,115 to Rs262,602.

Silver prices also saw an upward trend, with per tola silver rising by Rs48 to Rs3,315, while silver per 10 grams now stands at Rs2,842.
Pakistan, being a net importer of gold, is influenced by international price movements and the rupee-dollar exchange rate. The All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association (ASSJA) determines local gold prices six days a week.
