Pakistan has officially allowed two Taiwan airlines to use its airspace for flights from October 2026 to March 2027.

According to media reports, Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted permission to China Airlines and EVA Air.

Both Taiwanese carriers can now operate flights through Pakistani airspace during the approved period.

The aviation authority has also issued flight schedules for the two airlines following the approval.

The decision marks an important development in Pakistan’s international aviation operations.

Pakistan Allows Two Taiwan Airlines to Use Its Airspace

Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority has approved airspace access for China Airlines and EVA Air.

According to ARY News, the permission covers flights operated by both Taiwanese carriers during the specified period.

The approval will remain valid from October 2026 until March 2027.

The CAA has also prepared and issued flight schedules for the airlines.

The decision allows the carriers to include Pakistani airspace in their approved flight operations.

However, officials have not provided details about the number of flights expected to pass through Pakistan.

The approval concerns the use of Pakistani airspace and does not announce new passenger services to Pakistani airports.

China Airlines and EVA Air Receive Flight Permission

China Airlines and EVA Air are two major international airlines based in Taiwan.

Both carriers operate international passenger and cargo services connecting different destinations worldwide.

The latest approval allows them to use Pakistani airspace during the authorized six-month period.

Such permissions are important for international airlines planning routes across different countries.

Airspace access allows aircraft to travel through another country’s skies while following established aviation regulations.

The Civil Aviation Authority is responsible for managing and regulating civil aviation activities within Pakistan’s airspace.

The latest decision concerning Taiwan airlines comes as Pakistan continues making administrative changes within its aviation sector.

CAA and PAA Headquarters to Move to Islamabad

In a separate development, the government decided in August 2026 to relocate two major aviation organizations.

The Civil Aviation Authority and Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) will move their headquarters from Karachi to Islamabad.

Both organizations currently operate their main offices in Karachi.

Under the relocation plan, their headquarters will be shifted from Karachi Airport to Islamabad Airport.

Authorities have also decided to establish temporary headquarters at Islamabad Airport to support the transfer.

The temporary offices will allow both organizations to begin operations before permanent arrangements are finalized.

Seven-Member Committee Formed to Oversee Relocation

A seven-member committee has been established to supervise the relocation process.

The committee includes officials from both the Civil Aviation Authority and Pakistan Airports Authority.

Sadiq Rehman, Deputy Director General of the Pakistan Airports Authority, has been appointed to lead the committee.

The joint committee will identify a suitable location for constructing the temporary headquarters.

It will also oversee arrangements required for transferring administrative operations to Islamabad.

Officials have been instructed to ensure that the relocation process follows the government’s planned schedule.

CAA to Relocate by November, PAA by December

According to the relocation plan, the Civil Aviation Authority must shift to its temporary headquarters by November 2026.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Airports Authority has been directed to complete its relocation by December 2026.

The transfer will move the central administrative offices of both organizations to the federal capital.

However, regional offices across Pakistan will continue operating normally.

The government has not announced any changes to the existing regional office network.

These offices will continue providing aviation-related services in their respective areas.

Pakistan’s Aviation Sector Undergoes Administrative Changes

The approval for Taiwan airlines and the planned headquarters relocation are separate developments within Pakistan’s aviation sector.

The airspace permission provides China Airlines and EVA Air with authorization to operate through Pakistani skies.

Meanwhile, the relocation plan focuses on shifting the administrative headquarters of two aviation authorities to Islamabad.

Both developments involve the Civil Aviation Authority, which oversees important aspects of Pakistan’s aviation system.

For now, China Airlines and EVA Air have permission to use Pakistani airspace until March 2027.
