The federal government is set to announce a notable rise in petroleum prices for the second half of July 2024 tonight. Led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government will reveal the updated prices for petrol, diesel, and other fuels, which will take effect on July 16.
According to reports, the petrol price is expected to increase by Rs7.67 per litre, while high-speed diesel will rise by Rs3.72, and kerosene oil will go up by Rs2.73 per litre.

A proposal to raise the petroleum levy has been prepared and will be implemented pending the prime minister’s approval.
In the previous review, the Pakistani government raised the petrol price by Rs7.45 per litre, bringing it to Rs265.61 per litre, while high-speed diesel saw an increase of Rs9.56, reaching Rs277.45 per litre.
