P@SHA's Flagship Tech Expo Set to Feature 800 Companies from Pakistan

Muhammad Zohaib Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), highlighted the significance of ITCN Asia as a premier tech event in Pakistan. This year, in Lahore, the event boasts the participation of 800 companies showcasing over 2,000 brands, including top multinational IT and tech conglomerates. Khan expressed optimism, stating that they anticipate generating leads and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth $500 million in IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) investments, acquisitions, export orders, outsourcing contracts, joint ventures, and other strategic collaborations.

The three-day event, titled “24th ITCN Asia in Lahore 2024,” is scheduled to take place at the Expo Centre from April 18 to 20. It is jointly supported by the Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoITT), SIFC, PSEB, P@SHA, TechDestination Pakistan, and e-commerce gateway Pakistan, with 75+ prominent international delegates expected to attend.

Khan elaborated on the diverse range of knowledge and conference sessions planned for the event, covering topics such as AI Summit, Global Security Symposium, Gaming Roundtable, Skills Roundtable, Investor Summit, Digital Health, Proptech, Freelancer Summit, and Made in Pakistan Roundtable. Additionally, P@SHA will organize its landmark Policy Jirga and Policy Roundtables in association with HBL.

Highlighting the participation of industry giants from around the world and Pakistan, including Microsoft, Inbox, Redhat, TP-Link, Lenovo, HP, Netsol, Abacus, and Dell, Khan emphasized the expected attendance of over 45,000 trade and commercial visitors, along with 500 governmental representatives.

Khan also underscored the transformative initiatives under the Saudi Investment Fund Center (SIFC) as pivotal for investments in Pakistan, praising the forthcoming approach of Saudi investors as indicative of true complementary economies.

It is noteworthy that Deemah Al Yahya, Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), will serve as the guest of honor at the 24th ITCN Asia. DCO, a 15-country global ICT alliance including Pakistan, has granted observer status to P@SHA to represent the private sector of Pakistan’s IT industry.
