PTA Chairman Vows Support for Cable Industry

A delegation from the Cable Operators Association of Pakistan (CAP) visited the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Headquarters to meet with Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman.

The meeting primarily focused on regulatory matters and concerns related to the provision of internet services by cable operators in Pakistan.

During the meeting, Chairman PTA welcomed the delegation and attentively listened to their concerns. He highlighted that PTA is actively reviewing the existing Class Value Added Services (CVAS) License regime through a stakeholder consultation process.

This review aims to address issues associated with providing internet services, considering the evolving dynamics of the digital market and technological advancements.
