The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council’s Executive Committee investigated and uncovered serious embezzlements by the former (PMC).
After gathering the evidence, documentation, and all other required papers, the Committee resolved to hold the culpable parties accountable and put measures in place to prevent repeat events.

The Executive Committee has opted to outsource the audit and inquiry to a third party. They determined to bring all of the Culprits to justice.
The PMDC Committee has probed numerous anomalies in payments made by the former (PMC) totaling to millions of rupees, including payments made to a Private Consortium before to the signing of agreements, vague payments for IT equipment, software, and so on.
The Committee recently probed inconsistencies in payments made in the previous tenure (PMC) in conducting MDCAT-22 totaling Rs. 409.32 million, including payments paid to a Private Consortium of around 122 million a day before the agreements were signed.
The former PMC entered into an agreement for Rs: 409.32 million on August 17, 2022, with an advance payment of Rs: 122.78 million, or 30%, made on August 6, 2022, prior to the signature of the deal.
Surprisingly, the payment was made to the private consortium while the taxes were paid by another corporation. The business to which this large sum was paid was not even registered as a consortium with FBR or SECP. It did not meet the criteria of a government entity, and the arrangement reached was clearly in breach of PPRA rules.
The Committee discovered another scam of the former (PMC) by violating the procurement of Network IT Equipment such as Servers, Switches, Controllers, Access Points, Firewalls, and so on, and has badly breached the PPRA Rules. The software licence placed on the servers and the tender documentation were completely different. Furthermore, goods delivered in the previous PMC were not in accordance with the Bill of Quantities (BOQs) listed in the tender document.
Surprisingly, flaws were discovered in the acquisition of Miscellaneous Equipment, such as cameras, NVRs, UPSs, and cables. By breaking PPRA laws and directing all procurements to benefit their blue-eyed corporation.
While speaking to the Council Executive Committee (the body in charge of PM&DC’s financial and administrative matters), he informed the media about the results and promised to bring the perpetrators to justice.
They emphasised that the PM&DC Council is comprised of the best notable individuals from across the country with the highest reputations as doctors, academics, surgeon generals, legal experts, auditors, and provincial health secretaries. Since taking office, the Council has been working relentlessly to improve the medical and dental professions, as well as to make PM&DC more efficient as a regulator and facilitator. The Council has prioritised all PMDC problems and affairs in accordance with the norms and laws.
They noted that after making the necessary procedures for the transition from PMC to PMDC, the Council’s first aim is to seek WFM accreditation.
They expressed worry that, as PM&DC has uncovered the former regime’s scams, a group of entrenched interests has launched a media campaign to undermine and smear PM&DC, which preamble is not correct nor close to the truth.
PM&DC denies all such material that has been shared and publicised. The guilty vested group is attempting to postpone the achievement of the PM&DC objectives in order to smear the current Council’s efforts. These vested group’s nefarious motives may present roadblocks in establishing a link between international medical communities and interactions with WFME.
They stated boldly that the PM&DC is conducting the MDCAT 2023 examination for the first time in history on schedule and without wasting students’ valuable time through public sector medical/dental universities from all provinces to close the holes left by the previous PMC.
