Dr. Sheikh Saleh bin Zain Al-Abidin Al-Shaibi, who served as the key custodian of the holy Kaaba, passed away following an extended illness.
Saudi King Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed sorrow at Sheikh Saleh’s death.

Similarly, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif conveyed condolences and sadness over the demise of the Kaaba’s key custodian.
In his message of sympathy, the prime minister prayed for the departed’s high ranks and patience for his family.
He highlighted Dr. Sheikh Saleh Al-Shaibi’s esteemed position as the custodian of the Kaaba’s key, a role that brings pride to Muslims.
The prime minister emphasized the continuity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s tradition concerning the Key of Kaaba, with Dr. Sheikh Saleh Al-Shaibi being the 109th key holder.
