Dec 27 announced as Another Public Holiday

Sindh province in Pakistan has solemnly designated Wednesday, December 27th, as a public holiday to commemorate the death anniversary of the revered former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto.

An official notification released by the caretaker government has formally declared December 27th as a public holiday throughout the province, signifying a collective tribute to honor the memory of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.

This decree extends across all administrative domains within Sindh, encompassing offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils. However, essential services will continue to operate as usual.

This poignant observance marks the second public holiday of the week, following the reverential pause on December 25th, commemorating the 147th birth anniversary of Quaid.

The government’s official statement has put to rest any uncertainties or queries regarding the status of December 27th as a public holiday. Sindh stands unified in its dedication to remembering the significant legacy of Benazir Bhutto, acknowledging her enduring impact on the nation’s history and politics.
