Dozens of Intermediate Answer Sheets Changed at Federal Board

A new scandal has emerged at the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) regarding Higher Secondary School Certificates (HSSC) answer sheets. Recent scanning revealed that some answer sheets had been replaced, causing concern as the HSSC annual results are set to be announced next month.

Sources indicate that each answer sheet includes a QR code, which helped the IT system detect the replacements. Allegations suggest that 62 answer sheets were swapped, but this was only discovered later. The scanning process was performed by loaders who have since been dismissed in an attempt to cover up the issue.

An official has called for a thorough investigation to determine whether this was done to benefit certain students or was merely a human error. Joint Secretary of Education Syed Junaid Ikhlaq confirmed that an investigation is underway and that the issue, affecting about 32 pages, has been addressed. He assured that the results will not be impacted as the problem was identified in time and the answer sheets will still undergo evaluation before the final results are announced.
