Position Holders Of SSC-II Class To Receive Guard Of Honour

Top-performing 10th-grade students in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi will be honored with a guard of honour to recognize their hard work.

Earlier today, the Rawalpindi board announced the 2024 matriculation results, with a pass rate of 73.49 percent. Out of 119,265 students who took the annual examination, 87,639 passed.

The grade system has been abolished, reinstating the position holder system after five years. Female students outperformed their male counterparts, securing the top three positions overall.

Aqsa Noor from the Science Group secured first place with 1,179 marks, followed by Tayyaba Arif with 1,178 marks in second place, and Abeera Asif with 1,176 marks in third.

District Coordination Committee Chairman Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam stated that the middle-class students who achieved top positions proved their mettle. He added that the position holders will be presented with a guard of honour at Governor House Murree, a tradition restored by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to honor successful students.

He also noted the impressive performance of Danish School students in the exams.
