PESHAWAR β Schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) North organized special events under the supervision of Frontier Corps (FC) to mark Defence and Martyrs Day.
The ceremonies were attended by officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army, who encouraged students to participate in activities that promote national pride.
Students, alongside Army personnel, took part in flag hoisting ceremonies. They also offered collective prayers for the peace, security, and prosperity of Pakistan.
The events were aimed at paying tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the countryβs defense. Teachers and Army officials reminded students of the importance of unity, courage, and resilience in preserving national security.
Defence and Martyrs Day is observed each year to honor the armed forces and remember their sacrifices. The school programs were designed to instill patriotism among the younger generation and to keep alive the memory of those who defended the nation.
Students also participated in speeches, patriotic songs, and essay competitions. These activities highlighted the significance of national service and the responsibilities of citizens toward their homeland.
Army officers praised the enthusiasm of the children, noting that such events play a key role in strengthening ties between the military and the people. They stressed that Defence and Martyrs Day is not only a day of remembrance but also a time to renew commitment to Pakistanβs security.
The Frontier Corps KP North stated that organizing these events in schools ensures that young people remain connected to the countryβs history and sacrifices. They added that patriotism and awareness are essential in building a strong and united Pakistan.
Through these activities, Defence and Martyrs Day served as a reminder of the bravery of the armed forces and the enduring spirit of the nation.
