The electoral ambition of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to secure a victory in Lahore faced a significant setback as PML-N’s Attaullah Tarar claimed the NA-127 seat with 98,210 votes. Despite the party’s efforts, Bilawal could only secure 15,005 votes, trailing behind in the race.
The historic significance of Lahore in PPP’s founding did not translate into electoral success for Bilawal, marking a contrast with previous generations of the Bhutto family who had clinched victories in the city. However, Bilawal did secure a win in his constituency Larkana with a comfortable majority.
