Meteorologists are forecasting unprecedented rainfall during this year’s monsoon season. According to media reports, intense heat is expected to grip the plain areas starting next week, with storms and rains forecasted to commence in Punjab from the third week of May.
However, dry weather is anticipated in the majority of cities across the country, while central and southern areas are likely to experience high temperatures. Rainfall is expected in some areas of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, as per the meteorological department.

In Karachi, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry over the next 24 hours, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological department also predicts winds in Karachi to reach speeds of 40 to 45 kilometers per hour in the coming hours.
