Gold Price in Pakistan Poised for Record High

On Wednesday, the price of gold in Pakistan edged closer to the all-time high mark, reaching Rs. 238,900 per tola, as reported by the Karachi Sarafa Association.

Compared to the previous day, the price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 1,800 per tola, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,543 to Rs. 204,818.

This increase comes after a slight dip of Rs. 500 per tola on Tuesday, following a rise of Rs. 1,800 per tola on Monday. Notably, this is the second increase observed during the current week.

The surge in gold prices during March has amounted to Rs. 19,100 per tola, primarily influenced by the uptrend in international prices.

In the global market, spot gold experienced a decrease of 0.4 percent, reaching $2,271.50 per ounce as of 0958 GMT, while US gold futures recorded a 0.5 percent increase, reaching $2,292.
