Jack Osbourne has opened up about the heartbreaking moment he found out his father, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, had passed away.
In a new YouTube video posted on Wednesday, Jack described how a longtime family staff member personally delivered the devastating news. The media personality revealed that his father died in the UK at around 10 a.m., while he was in Los Angeles.
Jack Osbourne recalled spending a week with his children at the family home in England before returning to the United States. He said Ozzy was in a great mood during that time and seemed happy. Looking back, Jack expressed gratitude for those final days together.
The 39-year-old said he woke up at 3:45 a.m. to a knock on his door. When he saw the family employee who had worked with them for nearly 30 years, Jack immediately sensed something was wrong. It was then that he was told about his father’s death.
Following the news, Jack Osbourne booked a flight to England to reunite with his family and mourn together. He emphasized how thankful he was to have spent meaningful time with his father shortly before his passing.
Ozzy Osbourne, known worldwide as the “Prince of Darkness,” died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76. The legendary singer had been battling Parkinson’s disease since his diagnosis in 2019.
