An office boy named Mekgh, who has been living in Abu Dhabi for the past eight years, has achieved millionaire status after purchasing a bottle of Mahzooz water just before the live draw on Saturday. Mekgh, the fortunate winner of AED 1 million (PKR 7.5 crore), was unable to check the results himself due to his busy schedule of running errands. However, a friend of his called and informed him about his jackpot triumph. Initially skeptical, he confirmed the news by verifying Mahzooz’s account and watching the draw video on YouTube, where he saw his name and raffle ID number.

Mekgh, a Nepali expat, now joins the ranks of a few Nepali millionaires who have won the Mahzooz lottery. The first among them was Bharat, who secured AED 10 million last year, followed by Padam, who won AED 20 million, and Surya, who also won AED 1 million this year.

With his million-dirham victory, the 45-year-old father of two has plans to secure his children’s future, build a home, and start a small business in his home country. Participation in the Mahzooz draw requires purchasing a bottle of Mahzooz water for only AED 35, making individuals eligible to enter the weekly draw held on Saturdays, with a chance to win the grand prize of AED 20 million and another prize of AED 1 million.

In the latest draw, Mahzooz distributed AED 475,500 in prize money among 1,119 participants.
