The LOSS due to moonsoon rain

Nine more people have been killed and eight more injured in the past 24 hours due to heavy monsoon rains, according to the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).

Monsoon rains have killed 76 people nationwide since June 25.

Rainfall has killed 31 children, 30 men and 15 women in the past two weeks, according to the NDMA.

Punjab has the highest death toll at 48.

Rain also killed 20 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five in Balochistan and three in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In addition, the agency’s report said 49 men, 38 women and 48 children were among the more than 130 people injured in the rain.

So far, 78 houses have been damaged by the rains across the country, and heavy rains are fearing urban flooding in various cities across the country.
