India Slams Pakistan Strikes in Afghanistan After Taliban Reports Civilian Casualties

India has strongly criticized Pakistan’s recent airstrikes inside Afghanistan. Officials in New Delhi called the operation tragic and deeply concerning.

According to reports, the airstrikes caused civilian casualties. Afghan authorities said women and children were among those killed. The incident has increased tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

India expressed clear support for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Officials in New Delhi said cross-border attacks create instability in the region.

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal spoke about the issue during a media briefing. He said India believes Pakistan is trying to avoid responsibility for its internal security problems.

Jaiswal said Pakistan often shifts blame to other countries. He added that India stands firmly with Afghanistan and supports peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan’s military said the strikes were based on intelligence information. Officials claimed the targets were militant hideouts near the border areas.

According to Islamabad, the operation focused on fighters linked to the Pakistani Taliban and the Islamic State group. Pakistan described the strikes as part of its counterterrorism efforts.

However, Afghan authorities strongly rejected Pakistan’s explanation. Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid accused Pakistani forces of violating Afghanistan’s territory.

Mujahid said the strikes targeted innocent civilians. He claimed several women and children were among the victims. Afghan officials described the attacks as unacceptable and dangerous.

Afghanistan’s defense ministry also criticized the airstrikes. The ministry said the attacks happened in civilian areas. Officials warned that Afghanistan could respond at a time it considers appropriate.

The situation has raised concerns about regional security. Tensions between the two neighbors have increased following the incident.

India has urged respect for national borders and international law. New Delhi said protecting civilians must remain a priority during any security operation.

Analysts believe the dispute could affect stability across South Asia. Relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been strained for years due to border issues and militant activity.

India’s statement adds another voice to the growing criticism of the airstrikes. The country continues to support diplomatic solutions to regional conflicts.

As accusations continue from both sides, observers worry about further escalation. Many believe dialogue and cooperation are necessary to prevent more violence.
