Kieron Pollard, the star all-rounder of Karachi Kings, reached a significant milestone in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by hitting a six against South African spinner George Linde, thereby completing 1,000 runs in the competition at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Pollard, a West Indian batter known for his prowess as a pinch hitter in T20 cricket, boasts an impressive track record in the shortest format of the game. He has also clinched the ICC T20 World Cup title during his career.

With a total of 12,738 runs in his T20 career across international and domestic matches, Pollard ranks among the top batsmen in the T20 format, trailing only behind Shoaib Malik and Chris Gayle in terms of total T20 runs.
Since his debut in the PSL in 2017, the 36-year-old batter has consistently displayed his flamboyance and power-hitting ability, amassing 1,000 runs with a strike rate of 160 and an average exceeding 40.
Pollard’s contribution extends beyond his batting prowess; he also showcases his skills as a gun fielder, further solidifying his value to the Karachi Kings. His presence remains pivotal in the team’s lineup, serving as a backbone to their performance.
Having made his T20I debut in 2008 against Australia, Pollard has enjoyed a stellar career playing in various T20 leagues worldwide, including stints with teams like Mumbai Indians, Adelaide Strikers, and Somerset, alongside his role with the Karachi Kings in the PSL.
