VJ Anoushey Ahmed has openly shared her frustrations with the living conditions and systemic issues in Pakistan during a recent interview with FHM Pakistan. Her candid remarks reflect a growing disillusionment, even as she continues to love her homeland.
“I’m upset. That feeling of patriotism has died a little in me. I’ve become disheartened,” she admitted, pointing to systemic failures rather than the country itself as the root of her concerns.

In August, Anoushey criticized the country’s poor infrastructure and slow internet services, calling for unity amidst political turmoil. Despite plans to relocate to London to join her husband, she clarified that her feelings are not influenced by her move. “Overseas Pakistanis hurt for Pakistan much more deeply. They are doing whatever they can to help because their hearts truly hurt for the country,” she remarked.
Recalling personal experiences of harassment, she described how societal issues add to her frustration. However, she concluded on a hopeful note, urging people to reconnect with nature and their land as a source of emotional and mental strength.
Anoushey’s perspective underscores the challenges Pakistan faces while emphasizing the need for systemic change over blaming the land itself.
