A judicial magistrate in Lahore has restored the frozen bank accounts of Pakistani YouTuber Ducky Bhai, whose real name is Saad-ur-Rehman. The decision came during a hearing related to allegations of promoting a gambling application online.
The case is currently being heard at the District Court in Lahore. Ducky Bhai and his wife attended the hearing along with their legal team. The investigation is being conducted by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), which has already submitted the challan in the case.
During the hearing, the court ordered that the bank accounts belonging to Ducky Bhai be restored. The accounts had previously been frozen as part of the investigation into the alleged promotion of a gambling app.
Legal experts say the restoration of the accounts provides temporary relief to the YouTuber. Financial restrictions had affected his ability to manage income and expenses during the investigation period.
In another important decision, the court allowed Ducky Bhai to resume uploading videos on his YouTube channel. However, the magistrate set a clear condition. The YouTuber has been directed not to discuss the ongoing court case in his videos.
The case has attracted public attention due to the popularity of Ducky Bhai, who has millions of subscribers on YouTube. His content mainly focuses on commentary, reactions, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, the NCCIA raised objections to 27 videos uploaded on the channel. According to court proceedings, the agency believes the videos may be connected to the investigation.
At this stage, the NCCIA informed the court that the videos will not be removed immediately. Instead, the matter will be examined further during the legal process.
The court has also summoned witnesses from the NCCIA for the next hearing. Their statements will help clarify the agency’s objections regarding the videos.
The hearing was later adjourned because the NCCIA prosecutor was not present in court. The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for March 11.
