The convicted individuals later challenged the verdict in the Lahore High Court. Their appeals were reviewed by a two-member bench of the court.
This week, the court rejected the appeals and upheld the original death sentences. According to the ruling, the prosecution presented strong evidence during the investigation and trial process. The evidence included DNA matches, mobile phone records, and witness identification.
The court concluded that the available evidence supported the convictions. As a result, the original punishment remained unchanged.
