Jennifer Lopez is reportedly feeling “relieved” after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, despite her reluctance to end their two-year marriage.
A source told People that Lopez has found the process emotionally challenging, as Affleck chose to distance himself from their relationship and move on. “She didn’t want a divorce. She wanted to work things out. They love each other, and Jennifer is not one to give up easily. It has been almost torture for her to wait,” the insider shared.

The source added that Lopez, 55, appears relieved since she filed the divorce papers in Los Angeles last week. “Her family and friends believe it was the right decision. She’s surrounded by a lot of love and support, and she will be fine because she’s strong and always comes out on top.”
Lopez has not been seen publicly since officially ending her relationship with Affleck, 52, on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony. She filed for divorce without legal representation, citing their separation date as April 26.
Affleck, meanwhile, has been seen around Los Angeles looking upbeat. On Saturday, he was spotted picking up a Jack in the Box order at his Brentwood, Calif., rental home. That same day, sources revealed to Page Six that Affleck has been spending time with Kick Kennedy, the 36-year-old daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., at various LA hotspots, including the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge.
Affleck was also seen enjoying a meal with close friend Matt Damon and Damon’s wife, Luciana, at the Italian restaurant Toscana on Sunday, as shown in photos obtained by TMZ.
