The City Traffic Police Lahore has announced new extended timings for all licensing offices. The move aims to improve public service and reduce waiting time for citizens.
Under the new schedule, all centers will now operate from 8 am to 12 am midnight. This decision will make it easier for people to apply for a Driving License without time pressure.
Officials said the step was taken to reduce crowding at service centers. It will also help manage the increasing number of applicants across the city.
Lahore currently has 12 licensing testing centers. It also has 33 license facilitation centers. These centers provide Driving License services and related documentation support.
The announcement was made by newly appointed Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, Syed Abdul Rahim Sherazi. He chaired a high-level meeting to review performance and service delivery.
The meeting included DSP Licensing and in-charges of all licensing centers. Other relevant staff members also attended the session. The focus remained on improving efficiency.
During the review, officials discussed ways to enhance Driving License services. They also examined current operational challenges faced by citizens.
Authorities said the new extended hours will allow better access to services. Citizens can now apply for or renew their Driving License at more flexible times.
The change is also expected to reduce pressure on busy hours. It will help distribute public turnout more evenly throughout the day.
Officials believe this step will improve overall service quality. It will also make the Driving License process faster and more convenient for residents of Lahore.
The revised schedule applies to all licensing offices across the city. Citizens are encouraged to use the extended hours for smoother processing.
