Celebrated filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, known for her blockbuster films and iconic dance numbers, is winning hearts again — this time on YouTube.
Appearing on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s Prime Video talk show Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Farah candidly shared how she found joy and purpose in her new online venture.
“Even when my movie wasn’t happening, when I wasn’t directing, I said chal, let me do YouTube,” she said with her signature wit. “I have three kids who will go to university next year, and that’s bloody expensive. So, I thought, let’s start a show on YouTube — and it just clicked!”
The 54-year-old filmmaker, who last directed Happy New Year (2014), said that work continues to be her greatest source of happiness.
“Your life can’t revolve around another person. Happiness has to come from within and from your work,” Farah said. “Work actually gives me a lot of pleasure. I can work till I’m 80 because my work doesn’t depend on either my looks or—clearly—not my body, ever.”
In the latest episode of Too Much, featuring Ananya Panday, Farah also recalled a hilarious moment when she once kicked a director out of her room. Ananya, meanwhile, shared her wish to act in a Tees Maar Khan sequel.
Farah, who recently hosted Celebrity MasterChef, has found a new audience through her YouTube channel, where she shares celebrity cooking clips with her longtime cook, Dileep. Her lighthearted, behind-the-scenes videos are quickly becoming fan favorites.
