The Farshi Shalwar, traditionally a women’s fashion staple, has now gained popularity among men, becoming a trend embraced by several celebrities.
This voluminous trouser style, which originated in the Mughal era as part of South Asian attire, had faded from mainstream fashion for some time. However, it has made a striking comeback, with male celebrities like Fahad Mustafa, Falak Shabir, and others adopting the look.

Although singer and actor Farhan Saeed has yet to wear the Farshi Shalwar himself, he recently made a witty remark about the trend that quickly gained traction online.
Taking to Instagram, he shared a humorous story, saying, “Kash Farshi Shalwar ke saath Farshi attitude bhi in ho jaye!”—which translates to, “I wish the ‘Farshi Shalwar’ came with a matching ‘Farshi Attitude’ too!”
