Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan and Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor have completed filming their much-anticipated romantic comedy Abir Gulaal in London. The 40-day shoot marked a significant milestone for the cross-cultural film directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, known for Chalti Rahe Zindagi.
Produced by Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures, Abir Gulaal delves into a vibrant narrative of romance and cultural connections. Fawad plays a UK-based chef, while Vaani stars alongside him, with Lisa Hayden also part of the cast.

The production will now move to audience screenings and international promotion, with plans to showcase the film at major global festivals. A theatrical release in India is expected in late 2025.
Abir Gulaal marks Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood after his 2016 appearance in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, following the ban on Pakistani artists in India. The film has generated immense excitement among fans, promising a refreshing addition to the romantic comedy genre.
