Firdous Jamal Criticizes Mahira Khan, Claims She is 'Too Old' for Lead Roles

Senior actor Firdous Jamal has once again criticized superstar Mahira Khan, referring to her as an “old woman” and questioning her beauty.

During a recent appearance on a private TV channel’s program, Firdous Jamal was asked about his previous remarks on Mahira Khan, where he had suggested that she looked too old for lead roles and should instead be cast in motherly roles. The host pointed out that despite his comments, Mahira delivered a stellar performance in the blockbuster film The Legend of Maula Jatt.

In response, Firdous Jamal reaffirmed his stance, saying, “I still believe what I said about Mahira Khan’s age. She is an old woman in terms of her real age.” He further commented on the public’s perception of her beauty, stating, “If people find Mahira Khan beautiful, that’s their perspective, not mine. I don’t consider her beautiful.”

When the host mentioned that 90% of people in Pakistan view Mahira Khan as beautiful, Firdous Jamal retorted, “If 90% of people are crazy, that’s not my concern. Should I become crazy like them?”

Jamal also explained his standards for acting, comparing them to the performances of actresses like Elizabeth Taylor, and emphasized that his views on beauty and acting are based on his personal beliefs. He concluded by reiterating that he has always stood by his opinion on Mahira Khan and will continue to do so.

Notably, in 2019, Firdous Jamal had remarked that Mahira Khan was better suited for modeling rather than acting, stating that she was neither a good actress nor fit for heroine roles.
