LAHORE – A drug court in Lahore has issued arrest warrants for Hakim Shehzad, also known as “Loha Paar,” in a case involving the illegal promotion and sale of medicines.
The court, chaired by Muhammad Naveed Rana, also directed authorities to block the identity card of Hakim Shehzad, who is the husband of Dania Shah. The decision came after repeated failures by Shehzad to appear before the court.
During the hearing, the court noted fraudulent activity in the surety bonds submitted by the guarantor of Shehzad’s son, Naseebur Rehman, who is a co-accused in the case. The guarantor had allegedly provided false documents to secure bail.
Following this, the court ordered the registration of an FIR against the guarantor and demanded a detailed report on the matter. While Rehman was present in court, his father, Hakim Shehzad, once again failed to attend the proceedings.
According to a previous report submitted by the Drug Inspector, both father and son have been accused of promoting and distributing substandard medicines. Authorities allege that these activities not only violated drug laws but also put public health at serious risk.
The court emphasized the seriousness of the charges, stressing that selling and promoting unlicensed medicines endangers lives. Officials confirmed that further investigation into the case is underway, and strict legal action will follow.
The case has been adjourned until October 13, 2025, with the court ordering Shehzad’s immediate arrest if he fails to appear at the next hearing.
