Hina Khan Shaved her Head as Part of her Cancer Treatment

Television actress Hina Khan, who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer, recently decided to shave her head. She shared a video on social media explaining her decision, revealing that watching her hair fall out had become “painful and stressful.” In the video, Hina also posted images of her hair on her pillow and clothing.

She explained, “You can only overcome this by embracing and accepting it. I choose to accept my battle scars because I believe that embracing yourself brings you closer to healing. Hina, known for her role in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,’ added, “I want to take control of what I can and act on it before it happens to me.”

Hina Khan, who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, announced her diagnosis to her fans on social media on June 28. In a video, the 36-year-old actress acknowledged the physical pain she will face during her treatment but emphasized the importance of focusing on her mental health to stay strong.

She said, “To improve your physical health, you need to work on your mental well-being. I want to remain positive and happy, doing everything I can to avoid mental stress.”

Offering encouragement to other cancer patients, especially women, Hina shared, “I understand how difficult it is—it’s extremely stressful and painful. Avoid the stress of watching your hair fall out by shaving it off early, just as I have. Remember, you are still you, and you are actually more beautiful. Embrace this new phase of yourself, and this journey with every part of you.”

Hina also vowed to embrace her bald look with pride, using a razor to shave her head. She captioned the video with, “The pixie says ADIOS, It’s time to BUZZ it off! Here’s another attempt to normalize the hardest phase of this journey, aesthetically speaking. Remember ladies… our strength is our patience and calm. If we put our minds to it, nothing is unattainable. Mind over Matter (sic).”

Fellow celebrities such as Juhi Parmar, Aashka Goradia, Rubina Dilaik, Mouni Roy, and Ridhi Dogra expressed their support and admiration for Hina’s courage during this challenging time. Since her diagnosis, Hina has been sharing motivational updates and images of her scars on social media, showcasing her brave battle against the disease.
